Nestled in the heart of Southern California, the bustling port of Long Beach provides the perfect setting for real time scenario training. Students will learn how to effectively respond to oil spill incidents while taking in the sights of the busiest port on the west coast.
Each morning students will enjoy a complete continental breakfast before the commencement of the classroom portion of the program. The A.M classroom time will be spent discussing current federal and state regulatory information as well as written exercises covering a myriad of topics.
Afternoon sessions will begin with a hot lunch followed by hands-on training designed to provide students with practical knowledge when responding to an incident. Realistic exercises are conducted both in open water and along the shore using actual response equipment such as booms and skimmers.

Upon the successful completion of the course each student will receive an internationally recognized Oil Spill Response Certificate. In addition to this certificate of completion, students will also receive a patch to wear on any uniform signifying that they have completed necessary training as well as an 8 hour HAZWOPPER refresher certificate that is required annually.
